La spezia, I cannot describe how gorgeous you are.

A four hour train ride from Rome to La Spezia is worth it, if ever you get the chance to do it I very much recommend it!

I found an apartment on airbnb.com, it was in a mansion on-top of a mountain: the oldest mansion in La Spezia might I add, was absolutely amazing, the view was breath taking

Spending my three and a half days doing the Cinque Terre, Portovenere, and just walking around town and eating focaccia, gelato and drinking espresso was the best:)

From La Spezia to Cinque Terre; train station, costs 12€ for an all day pass for transportation to the five mountains and back as many times during the day.

From La Spezia to Portovenere; Bus!
I’m not quite sure how much that is cause I didn’t pay, they never check tickets, it’s crazy!
But probably 2-4€ there and back.

As for food, I’m always trying to scout out cheap deals and healthy options, which is kind of hard considering that I’m in the land of carbs, but you can always find a salad or market around the corner somewhere :]

Enjoy life, love, travel, peace and fresh air!

Next stop Genoa, Italy : one day

Travel

20131011-205343.jpg

This is my first time in Europe, and I can’t describe how beautiful it is.

It’s a little bit of a culture shock but you kind of get used to it.

Starting in Rome, Italy was so much fun. Once you get to the airport the difference between North-America and Europe is instant! The security over there is not strict at all, they don’t even look at your passport at the boarder, and the bathrooms there don’t have toilet seats! ahaha

Sipping wine in the evening, a bottle of wine from Italy only costs 2€ euro, eating mozzarella, tomatoes, walking the streets of one of the oldest city’s in the world, stopping and getting a hold of pizza, pasta and gelato is heaven.
All the things you can see and visit is amazing.

All I have to say is, I want to spend my life traveling, exploring the world I live on, speaking different languages, eating different food, I love it.

Next stop, la spezia, Italy.

ENJOY LIFE, peace and love.
